Nollywood actor, Mike Ezuruonye, on Wednesday, beat his colleague, Yul Edochie, to celebrate the 71st birthday of the latter’s father on Instagram.
According to the 35-year old, the story of Nollywood will be incomplete “without this charismatic icon of a man.”
He went on to recollect his first acting experience with Edochie and how the bearded veteran predicted that he would go far in the industry.
“True ENIGMA you are on and off the CAMERA….It’s beyond human imagination,” he added.
Amazingly, Edochie’s own actor son, Yul, waited till late in the day to wish his father a happy birthday on social media.
The 36-year old, who contested but lost the Anambra governorship election in November 2017, posted his message 10 hours after Mike’s.
“Happy 71st birthday Daddy. Wish you many more great years. God’s protection upon you always,” he wrote.
Pete Edochie has been in the Nigerian motion picture industry for over 50 years.
He is most famous for playing the lead role of Okonkwo in the NTA TV series adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart in 1987.
He is happily married to Josephine Edochie and two of his sons, Yul and Linc Edochie, have chosen to follow in his footpath.
