Super Eagles skipper, Mikel Obi, has called out his international teammate ahead of Tianjin TEDA clash with Changchun Yatai.
Mikel will lead his TEDA troops to war in Changchun, hoping to spoil Ighalo’s fine run.
The ex-Watford star has notched seven goals in nine appearances this term.
Put in context, that’s half the strikes by the entire team.
Mikel, whose side, is ranked ninth, three places ahead of Ighalo’s, is hoping to shut out his teammate.
The 31-year-old took to Twitter to remind Ighalo of their last meeting in the Premier League in 2016.
At that time, Mikel was a Chelsea player while Ighalo kitted for Watford.
“You won’t get this close to me at this weekend,” Mikel joked alongside an image.

Both players would become friends once again at season’s end for the country heading to Russia.
