Super Eagles skipper, John Mikel Obi, has hailed the visit of national team coach, Gernot Rohr, to Chelsea.
The German tactician took out time to meet with some of Nigeria’s biggest stars playing in the Premier League likes of Alex Iwobi of Arsenal, Watford duo Isaac Success and Odion Ighalo, Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa as well as the Nigerian contingent at Stamford Bridge.
Rohr was even spotted at the Olympic Stadium, London, Wednesday where the Blues played West Ham in the English Football League (EFL).
Sadly, neither Mikel nor teammate, Victor Moses, features in the game which had Nigerian prospect, Ola Aina in action.
” I will have talks with the coach of Leicester City and Chelsea to know why Ahmed Musa and Mikel Obi are not playing games. I will try to plead with them to see if they can be featuring in games for the youth sides,” the German said prior to his visit to England.
And Mikel, who is yet to feature for the Blues this term was grateful to the gaffer for meeting with the club’s sporting director, Michael Emenalo, who happens to be an ex-Nigeria international.
