Super Eagles duo, John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses, finally had the opportunity to meet with new Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, in Wednesday’s training session.
Conte, 46, was appointed coach of the Blues in April – replacing interim boss, Guus Hiddink.
But commitment with the Italian national team at the 2016 European Championship meant the club had to wait a little more before getting their man to take charge.
Now the Euros are over and for the first time ever, the former Juventus manager arrived Cobham for his debut training session with his new team.
Mikel and Moses were among the numerous first team players who took part in the day’s workout.
Conte was spotted being driven into the Blues’ Cobham training facility in a black 4×4.
First on the agenda of the Italian was a light jog then warm up, before splitting the players into two groups for a short passing exercise where he introduced them to his pattern of play.
The coach was heavily involved and very vocal throughout the session, regularly stopping each drill to offer advice and encouragement, both to individual players and the group as a whole.
The former midfielder who earned 20 caps for Italy before going on to coach his country, was also pictured passing the ball during one stoppage.
He is expected to address the media for the first time on Thursday before setting off for a one-week training camp in Austria.
Both Nigerians face uncertain futures at the Bridge and must impress the charismatic Italian to remain in London.
Moses has spent the past three seasons away from the club – with unfruitful loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City and most recently West Ham.
Mikel on the other hand has been linked with a move to Turkey but insists on fighting for his place under the new boss.
After Chelsea’s disappointing title defence, the Blues will not compete in Europe next term meaning Conte can fully focus on the Blues’ domestic campaign.
