Super Eagles skipper, Mikel Obi, is unlikely to feature in the forthcoming pre-World Cup friendly with Poland.
Nigeria trade tackles with the Polish national side on Friday at the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw.
Ahead of the showdown, 22 stars have touched the team’s Blu Hotel camp.
However, Mikel is a major doubt due to work permit issues in China.
“We all had been hoping that the renewal would come in good time for him to fly to Poland,” Team Administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor, told the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) website on Tuesday.
“As it is now, it is not likely that he would make the trip.”
Mikel isn’t alone, though.
Las Palmas midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo, will also miss the encounter through injury.
While Al Ahly forward, Junior Ajayi, drops out due to visa hitches.
Still expected, though, are goalkeepers, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and South Africa-based Daniel Akpeyi.
