Nigeria duo of John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses are part of the Chelsea squad that arrived Montreal, Canada, on Wednesday ahead of the club’s preseason tour of the US.
The Super Eagles pair arrived the south-eastern city with the rest of the Chelsea team despite uncertainties surrounding their Chelsea future.
Mikel will be playing his tenth season in Stamford Bridge after reports suggested that manager, Jose Mourinho, had earlier blocked his move away from the club because the player remains an integral part of his plans.
United Arab Emirates suitors Al Ain and Al Wahda, Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Chinese clubs have been monitoring the situation with keen interest.
Victor Moses may now be given a chance to play at Chelsea after returning from his loan deal at Stoke, says Potters manager Mark Hughes.
Moses, 24, has not played a competitive game for Chelsea since Jose Mourinho returned as coach two years ago.
“It could be he plays a part for Chelsea this year,” said Hughes, who failed in a bid to keep the player.
“He showed enough in his time with us that it made Chelsea very aware of the talent they have.”
The inclusion of the two Nigerians in the squad might finally bury speculations about their future at the club with the pair looking to stay on and fight for their places.
Chelsea play three games in the US against the New York Red bulls, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
