Former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has dumped Labour Party (LP) for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
Mimiko told his supporters in Ondo town that he was leaving as a result of the division among its leadership.
He accused National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, of hijacking LP through the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
ZLP is headed by Dan Nwanyanwu, former national chairman of LP.
Mimiko defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) back to the Labour Party in June.
He announced his intention to run for the presidency under the latter two weeks ago.
