Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina has arrived in Los Angeles, United States to begin her final preparations for the Miss Universe pageant scheduled for November 16.
Chidimma shared the news on Instagram on Friday, encouraging Nigerians to show their support by voting.
“Arrived in LA, dressed in bold red and ready to set the stage on fire! Final preparations underway, and I’m here to make Nigeria proud,” she wrote.
“Nigerians, your votes mean everything! Head to the Miss Universe app and cast your votes to help me bring this crown home. Let’s do this together!”
In an Instagram post on Thursday, she urged Nigerians to join her as she embarks on this journey.
“It is time to hearken to the silent voices of the Universe.✨💫 It has called out to me for so long, and today, I stand tall to answer that call with a strong purpose—casting away all the barriers that have held me back, and strongly advocating for inclusion,” she wrote.
After withdrawing from the Miss South Africa pageant due to backlash over her Nigerian heritage in August, Chidimma was invited to participate in the 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, where she went on to claim the title.
