Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina has confirmed her return to competing for Miss Universe crown following a brief illness.
On Saturday, Chidimma said on Instagram that she wouldn’t be joining the other contestants because she was “under the weather.”
She assured her followers that she was receiving proper care and encouraged them not to worry.
The model wrote, “She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails. This describes my journey to the Universe. With resilience, every dream or goal is attainable.”
She added, “I won’t be rehearsing today because I’m under the weather, but the Miss Universe Organization is taking good care of me. I can’t wait to join the other girls soon. Keep voting for me!”
By late Sunday, Chidimma shared another update, letting everyone know she had returned to the competition and was feeling better.
“Hello Nigeria, Hello Africa, Hello Universe! Did you miss me? Because I missed you. Thank you for all the love and support. I’m feeling much better than two days ago,” she wrote.
Chidimma is currently in Mexico for Miss Universe beauty pageant.
She announced her arrival on October 30.
