Model Mitchel Ihezue has announced her engagement to businessman and politician Nicholas Ukachukwu.
Ihezue, the reigning Miss Universe Nigeria, first broke the news on December 1 on Instagram but kept her lover’s identity hidden.
“It’s a new a month, A new season, A new beginning, A new page has turned, It is time to write a new chapter. It is a new dawn,” she captioned her post and ended with “#UNendinglove23”.
However, on Sunday, Ihezue revealed the identity of her husband-to-be with his alias Ikukuoma.
The wedding is billed for Tuesday, December 5.
Her friends and well-wishers have begun sending her congratulatory messages on the photo-sharing app.
“Is this not Ikukuoma ndi Osumenyi? Congratulations nne,” Ifeoma Okonkwo wrote.
Aloysius Adanma asked, “Is it the same IKUKUOMA?” and added love emojis.
“Congratulations. You married a man and not a boy,” Collins Onuoha commented.
The former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2017 made history as the first woman to claim both prestigious beauty titles. Ihezue faced stiff competition, triumphing over 36 other talented contestants to secure the coveted Miss Universe crown at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos on Sunday, September 10.
The Imo State indigene represented Nigeria at the 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant held in El Salvador on November 18, 2023.
