The national president of the Actor Guild of Nigeria Emeka Rollas has said actress Cynthia Okereke’s bank account has been cleared.
Emeka disclosed this in an interview with Punch published on Saturday.
According to him, the guild has not confirmed if Cynthia Okereke was kidnapped but the money in her account has been withdrawn.
He said: “We have not confirmed the kidnap as it were. The only thing we know is that all the money in Cynthia Okereke’s account was cleared this morning.
“We are expecting to get a kind of signal from the people holding them hostage to know whether it is a kidnapping or not.”
Qed.ng on Friday reported that Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel, popularly known as Agbogidi, were declared missing.
This was disclosed in a statement by the communications director of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Monalisa China.
The actors were reported missing after their family members confirmed they did not come back from a film location at Ozalla Town, Enugu State.
According to the statement, the current assumption, is that they have been abducted, given the spate of kidnappings in the past months.
