The Vanguard reporter Tordue Salem, who was reported missing about a month ago, has been found dead in Abuja, the newspaper said on Thursday.
Mr Salem was responsible for reporting the affairs of the House of Representatives. He was last seen on October 13, 2021.
At the close of work that day, he reportedly alighted from a cab at Total filling station, close to the Force headquarters, and headed for BJ’s Garden in the company of a female relative.
Afterwards, he reportedly flagged a cab for the woman and told her that he was going to Area 8, Garki. But he never returned.
Since he went missing, many have shown concern in finding Salem including the Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila.
Some arrests have been made over the incident. The police apprehended a man Prince Enyenihi for attempting to extort Salem’s family.
