Promoters of Ponzi scheme, Mavrodi Mondial Movement (MMM), on Thursday slated Nigerian participants who questioned why their accounts were yet to be unfrozen.
The controversial mutual aid platform announced a one-month freeze of all the accounts in Nigeria on December 12, causing panic among its estimated three million participants.
Blaming the freeze on heavy workload during the Yuletide period and hostility from Nigerian authorities, MMM boasted it would return stronger in January.
Although MMM told members in Nigeria it would return on Saturday, January 14, many expected their accounts to be unfrozen on January 12, exactly a month after the freeze.
With many despairing, MMM issued a message on Twitter on Thursday asking why participants couldn’t wait two days after waiting for 29.

Promoters of the scheme had earlier issued instructions to participants whose accounts were frozen, to perform “Promo Tasks: A New Tool for MMM Community Development.”
In messages posted on Twitter, subscribers were told to perform tasks, both online and offline, to promote the scheme and drive “traffic and participation” by the time the restriction on the account is lifted.
“Being an MMM member implies not only opportunities, but also a responsibility for the state and development of the MMM Community,” the operators said.
