Mosunmola Abudu, popularly known as Mo Abudu, has threatened to file a lawsuit against anyone associating her to the large cash ($43million, £27,000 and N23million) recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from an apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos.

In a statement from Abudu’s lawyers, Streamsowers and KOHN, posted on her Instagram page on Friday, she denied owning the apartment where the huge money was uncovered.

The statement warned anyone circulating the story of possible lawsuit.

“Please note that the publication of such false statements is actionable and gives rise to claims against any person who publishes these statements,” her lawyers wrote.

It would be recalled that aide to Ekiti State Governor, Lere Olayinka, on one of his Facebook posts alleged  that the flat where the fund was kept belong to Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

Olayinka further claimed that another flat in the building was a gift to Abudu whom he said was Amaechi’s girlfriend.

The minister has however denied the allegations.
