Actress Adebimpe Oyebade, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, has tendered a public apology to Ekiti State University.
The wife of actor Lateef Adedimeji, who is an alumnus of the university, was supposed to make an appearance at the just-concluded induction ceremony of the school’s Theatre and Media Arts Department.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Mo Bimpe said on Wednesday in an Instagram post that she could not attend the event.
The movie star promised to make it up to the students and lecturers.
She wrote, “Truly humans plan, but God is the best Planner. I am a proud alumna of the prestigious Ekiti State University, and I am always glad when called upon, as it indicates growth and love.
“I tender sincere apologies to the staff and students of the Theatre and Media Arts Department for my inevitable absence at this year’s induction ceremony, due to unforeseen circumstances.
“While I crave your peaceful indulgence, I promise to make it up in better folds.”

Reacting to her post, some of her fans expressed disappointment over her absence at the event.
“It is well sha, wey I dey expect aunty Mo say today today I go see you, all is well,” one fan with the handle @habis_enterprise wrote.
Another fan @iam_estherorire hailed the actress over her apology, stating that it is truly an act of a queen. “This is truly an act of a queen,” the fan wrote.
