Actress Debbie Shokoya has penned an emotional tribute to her daughter as she turns six months old, reflecting on how the experience of motherhood has transformed her life.
The 38-year-old welcomed her daughter in August 2023, a year after suffering the heartbreaking loss of her first pregnancy at eight months.
In a video shared on Instagram on Sunday, Debbie captured moments from the hospital, celebrating the milestone with a heartfelt message.
She expressed gratitude for the changes motherhood has brought, describing how she has become wiser, stronger, and more blessed. According to her, waking up to see her daughter’s smile has been a source of immense joy.
“My life changed for good six months ago. I took up new responsibilities and became a mother to a beautiful princess. Since then, I have become more wise, more strong, more blessed, more joyful, more considerate, and more deep. I enjoy the best cuddle in the world and wake up to the brightest smile,” she wrote.
Debbie also noted that her journey has been one of divine blessings, adding that those who once mocked her have now joined in her joy.
“My story is special and beautiful. Mockery turned into unstoppable blessings for me. Those who waited to say ‘Sebi we told you’ have rejoiced with me. All my prayers have come to pass and more,” she added.
Her colleagues and fans took to the comment section to celebrate with her, congratulating her on her daughter’s growth.
Following the loss of her first pregnancy in 2022, Debbie found solace in her work and dedicated a movie titled Irin Ayanmo to her late child. The project was a testament to her resilience and strength in the face of personal tragedy.
