Luka Modric is keen to remain at Real Madrid following the interest from Inter Milan this summer.
The 32-year-old midfielder was a target for the Serie A side but they failed in their attempt to sign him.
Madrid reported Inter to FIFA over their pursuit of the World Cup runner-up earlier this month.
Modric, who was named UEFA Men’s Player of the Year on Thursday, said he was committed to the La Liga giants.
“I am very happy at Real Madrid. I want to stay at this club for many years to come,” he said at Thursday’s Champions League draw.
Madrid president, Florentino Perez, also referred to the dispute between the two clubs on Thursday, according to Football Italia.
“They wanted to take our Number 10 without paying for him! It’s something I’d never seen in 30 years of my career,” he said.
Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti, after reportedly being told about Perez’s comments by Sky Sports Italia, said: “I haven’t heard what Perez said, but we’ll read them and then see what to do in the opportune arenas.”
