A former presidential candidate Kingsley Moghalu has mourned Ahmed Sule one of the sons of a former minister and former permanent representative to the United Nations Maitama Sule.
Mr Moghalu tweeted on Sunday night, describing Ahmed’s death as untimely.
“Sad to learn of the untimely death of my friend Ahmed Yusuf Maitama Sule, son of the late Danmasanin Kano, Yusuf Maitama Sule. He received me very well when I paid his mother and the family a condolence visit in 2018 after his great father’s death. May his soul Rest in Peace,” he wrote.
Ahmed died after a brief illness in Kano. He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
The deceased was a graduate of History from the Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
He is survived by a wife and seven children as well as siblings.
