Adura Aloba, the younger brother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police at the premises of the Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos.
He was reportedly taken away on Wednesday alongside his friend, Ibrahim Koleosho, also known as King White, shortly after attending a legal proceeding regarding a phone he sold to one Damola Ayinde.
In a viral video, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Aloba, alleged that her son was abducted by unknown gunmen suspected to be police officers.
She accused former actor and self-acclaimed activist Yomi Fabiyi of orchestrating the arrest.
“Please help me, people of God! Yomi Fabiyi has taken my son, Adura. I don’t know where they are taking him. They must not harm him because he is sick,” she cried out.
Abosede also mentioned another individual, Sam Jojo, in her claims, insisting that Adura was innocent and that “the real culprit has already confessed.”
Adura had been in court over allegations that Ayinde and Fabiyi used the phone he sold to damage his reputation by hacking his TikTok account.
His mother’s fallout with Fabiyi dates back to January when they clashed during a press briefing.
The disagreement stemmed from a petition Fabiyi filed on December 13, 2024, alleging that Adura had demanded N3 million in Bitcoin in exchange for a supposed video detailing Mohbad’s death.
Adura denied the claims, stating that the chat originated from Ayinde, the person who bought his phone.
A forensic investigation was conducted and the court is still handling the case.
