Social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, has appeared in a comedy skit produced by comic star, Broda Shaggi.
The video, which was made for YouTube, was shared by Broda Shaggi on other social media platforms.
In the skit, Mompha is accosted by Broda Shaggi and Omoromoke Ijaya who act as police officers.
Mompha is in the video directed to produce paperwork for the vehicle he is seen driving alongside his driver’s licence, which he does.
He is also seen telling Broda Shaggi to desist from calling him a criminal.
Social media users believe the skit could be Mompha’s way of rebranding.
Mompha’s trial resumed at the Federal High Court in Lagos on January 15.
He is alleged to have been involved in N32.9 billion fraud.
Mompha was arrested on October 19, 2019, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. He was arraigned on November 25 on 14 counts bordering on fraud, money laundering and running a foreign exchange business without the authorisation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Justice Mohammed Liman granted him bail of N100 million on November 29, 2019. After meeting his bail conditions, Mompha was released in December.
