Singer Teni Apata has sparked concern among fans after sharing a health update on Instagram.
“MONEY CANNOT BUY YOU HEALTH O NA GOD!” she captioned her Instagram post on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old, who recently released her single ‘Money’, shared a video of herself receiving medical treatment at home. She revealed that she had been battling malaria for two weeks, which left her weak and unable to eat.
In the video, Teni humorously lamented her ordeal, saying: “When I sang ‘Uyo Meyo’, I thought my eyes had seen a lot, but unknown to me, my eyes were yet to see anything. Malaria! E no better for all the mosquitoes wey dey Ikate.”
She went on to call on Oba Saheed Elegushi to take action against the mosquito infestation in Ikate, blaming them for her illness.
Teni added that despite her condition, she travelled to Ondo for a performance, explaining that she had no choice because she couldn’t refund the payment she had received.
“Whatever money enters Sugar Mummy’s account does not come back outside. And they said money is the root of all evil. E no go better for evil, in fact, evil life will be ruined!” she joked.
Following her post, fans and celebrities flooded her comment section with goodwill messages.
