Super Eagles forward, Victor Moses, is hoping to make good out of Chelsea’s pre-season campaign by impressing new boss, Antonio Conte.
Conte, 46, took over the helm of affair at Stamford Bridge this summer – replacing interim coach, Guus Hiddink.
Moses on the other hand has spent a large chunk of his career away from the club on loan – with separate spells at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham.
Now back at Chelsea, the 25-year-old, who shone in Conte’s debut against Rapid Vienna on Saturday, is eager to fight for his place and remain in southwest London.
“It’s a very big season for me,” the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner admitted.
Moses faces competition from the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian and Oscar but admits it’s up to him to prove to the manager why he deserves to be in the team.
“There is a new manager here. I have to show my talent and make sure I work hard to get into his thoughts. I will keep working hard and see what happens after that.
“We have a new manager and he knows what he wants from us. We are still getting used to the way he wants us to play, but it’s going to be good.”
