Twitter has suspended the account of influencer Motara following a viral video where she teased a child beggar with a drink.
In the video, the girl was seen pursuing Motara’s car to have a taste of the drink. The video attracted outrage from social media users.
It also prompted several of them to report Motara’s account for allegedly violating Twitter policies.
Motara is believed to have violated Twitter policies on ‘abuse and harassment’ or ‘respect for other members of the community’.
The viral video has also got the attention of French people who expressed anger over the influencer’s actions.
Motara was recently suspended from her role as public relations officer of a non-governmental organisation Brotherskeeper over the video.
The NGO also announced she ceases to be its member.
Motara issued an apology which was later deleted. The Ibadan-based influencer claimed she later gave the girl money.
