Kim Porter, mother of three of rap mogul, Diddy’s children, has died at the age of 47.
The body of the model and actress was “was discovered unresponsive in her home” on Thursday according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and was declared dead at the scene.
The cause of her death was not immediately known, but she was reportedly battling a flu that became pneumonia. An autopsy will be conducted.
Police have however ruled out foul play.
Kim Porter dated Diddy off and on from 1994 till 2007 and has three children with him, 20 years old Christian and twins Jessie James and D’Lila.
She also has a 27-year-old son from a previous marriage.
Diddy, real name, Sean John Combs, is reportedly “devastated and shocked” by the death of his baby mama.
Just a few days ago, Kim posted a birthday message to Diddy, saying: “Thank you for giving me the best gifts of life – our children.”
Although the couple separated because of Diddy’s incessant infidelity, they remained on good terms and had holidayed together in the past in their roles as co-parents.
Kim Porter posted a picture a few days ago on Instagram of Diddy with his family and the caption “Love”.
Various celebrities like Rihanna, 50 Cent and Missy Elliot have come out to pay their condolences to him and his family.
Rihanna said: “We lost a real one today, beautiful inside and out. So many will be affected by this, some won’t even know why…but the whole world was graced by the vibrance in your spirit.”
