Nigerian musician, Mr Eazi, was on Wednesday announced as the fourth ‘Up Next’ artiste of the month on Apple Music streaming platform.
The 26-year-old boyfriend of billionaire daughter, Temi Otedola, was announced alongside a simultaneous release of several special projects.
Also featured is an interview with Beats 1’s Julie Adenuga and a documentary about his rapid rise and unique sound, entitled Up Next: Catch a Vibe.
The Apple streaming service will promote Mr Eazi’s songs on its playlists and on the iTunes Store to a global audience over the next one month, which will feature his mixtape Life is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra to Lagos, released in February 2017.
Another ‘Up Next’ special is a live performance session which was filmed in London, UK entitled Up Next Session: Mr. Eazi.
The ‘Banku’ music star will also appear on the Late Late Show with James Corden later this evening a ritual for Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ artistes.
A playlist of Mr Eazi’s collaboration and musical influences will also be available for fans of the ‘Skin Tight’ singer on Apple Music for the next thirty days.
Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ special was launched in April 2017.
US rapper Ricardo ‘6lack’ Valdez was the first artiste to be featured. He was succeeded by Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid in May and R&B star Khalid in June.
Oluwatosin Ajibade was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria before moving to Lagos when he was four years old.
He attended University in Kumasi, Ghana, which had a major influence on the evolution of his Banku sound, which fuses elements of music from both Nigeria and Ghana.
