Nollywood actor and comedian, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, was his usual jovial self at the candlelight procession held in honour of late Bambino Anachina.
The procession was held on Tuesday at the national stadium in Surulere, Lagos as producers, directors and actors in the industry came to pay their respect to the deceased producer.
In spite of the sad gathering, Mr Ibu tried to make light of the occasion as he made an effort to put a smile on the faces of the deceased family and loved ones.
The 56-year-old gave his support to Bambino’s wife, assuring her that the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) will see to it that her children lack nothing.
“Bambino don pay him own bill, everybody must pay. Relax, nothing dey happen we dey. Na all of us dey marry you as far as Actors Guild is concerned. I no go dey alive to see the pikin cry, it’s not possible,” he said.
Alongside Mr Ibu, actors such as Kevin Ikeduba, Desmond Elliott and Victor Osuagwu were present to extend their condolence to the family.
Bambino’s Christian wake keeping will hold in Agbueke Village, Akwa in Anambra State on Thursday, August 2.
His body will leave the hospital the next day where it will be received in his father’s compound in Agbueke.
