Taking to Instagram on Friday, Stella expressed her gratitude while recounting the challenges faced during and after her husband’s passing.
“Today marks two weeks since we laid my beloved husband, Mr. John Okafor, to rest. This period has been incredibly difficult for my family and me,” she wrote.
Stella shared the harrowing journey of her husband’s illness, which involved numerous hospital visits and sleepless nights filled with hope for a miracle.
“Despite our efforts and the dedication of his medical team, we lost him to the cold hands of death,” she reflected, emphasising the emotional toll of the experience.
Stella acknowledged the invaluable support from compassionate individuals which provided her family with the strength to endure. She also expressed heartfelt thanks to all who offered assistance during the burial preparations.
Stella specifically recognised the generosity of Nigerians who donated during her husband’s illness, as well as notable figures such as Peter Obi, who attended the burial, and the Enugu State Government led by Governor Peter Mbah.
She also extended appreciation to Ugochi Madueke, the commissioner of culture and tourism in Enugu State; the burial committee; and the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) among others.
