Actor Bolaji Amusan widely known as Mr. Latin, alongside his colleagues, attended the eighth-day prayer service for the late actor Mudashiru Olabiyi popularly known as Bobo B on Wednesday.
The eighth-day prayer was held in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
The gathering saw actors come together to honour their colleague.
Last week, the news of Bobo B’s death was confirmed by the Oyo governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bose Akinola.
Mr. Latin, president of TAMPAN, also confirmed the news, stating that Bobo B died on October 16.
He described the actor’s death as a significant loss to the entertainment industry.
Mr Latin praised Bobo B’s dedication, leadership and invaluable contributions, which left a lasting legacy in TAMPAN and the Yoruba film industry.
Actress Toyin Adegbola, speaking to BBC, mentioned that Bobo B had diabetes, although the condition wasn’t identified early.
The family of the late actor said he was appointed Baale Alagunsa and preparations for his installation were underway before he died.
His younger brother Kabiru Olabiyi revealed that Bobo B built a mosque for the community but died before it could be officially unveiled.
