Nollywood actor and president of Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Mr Latin has described the death of veteran actor Jimoh Aliu as the “end of an era”.
Mr Latin, born Bolaji Amusan, stated this in an Instagram video on Thursday which showed him meeting Jimoh.
“End of an ERA…RIP chief Jimoh Aliu,” he wrote.
Actor Muyiwa Ademola recalled the moment he worked with Jimoh in 1994 describing it as “memorable”.
“You have lived well, you went through people and people went through you. You used your gift to entertain, encourage and educate us. You dominated our childhood,” wrote Muyiwa.
“You gave me the opportunity to work with you sometimes around 1994 in Ado Ekiti and it is so memorable. Rest in peace Baba Aworo.”
Jimoh Aliu died at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital on Thursday.
He was a former president of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (ANTP).
