Actor and skit maker Mr Macaroni has condemned an assault on Davido’s fan by the singer’s aide.
A video of the man getting slapped by one of Davido’s aides for trying to take a picture with the Grammy nominee has been circulating on social media.
In the video, the fan was assaulted by the aide as he tried to approach Davido.
Mr Macaroni in a post on X on Tuesday, condemned the assault and described the act as “dehumanising”.
He wrote: “This is sad and highly condemnable!!! There is absolutely no need for this assault. This is dehumanizing and I speak against it because I know exactly how this feels. The change that we all seek must begin with us!!!’
In another post, Mr Macroni cautioned fans against approaching celebrities to take pictures without their permission while encouraging his colleagues to treat their fans with respect.
“Please, if you must take pictures with any of your favorite celebrity, kindly seek permission so that you are not seen as a threat. Respect is reciprocal. We must respect the privacy of our celebrities and Celebrities must also learn to treat our fans with respect and dignity,” he added.
