Social media comedian Mr. Macaroni has confirmed that he was expelled from Redeemers University in Ede, Osun State.
The 28-year-old had on Monday responded to a 2017 tweet by Sahara Reporters about his expulsion from the university.
“Love and Light!!!” he wrote.
Twitter users who were confused as to how the comedian completed NYSC upon the said expulsion tagged Sahara Reporters’ story ‘fake news’.
The funnyman, thereafter, explained that the Sahara Reporters’ information was indeed accurate.
“Just to clear the misunderstanding, this news by Sahara reporters wasn’t wrong at the time. I was expelled from school in 2017,” he wrote on Tuesday.
“We however went to court same 2017 and settled out of court in 2018. I graduated since 2018 and I went for Nysc 2019. Finished Nysc 2020.”
Born Debo Adebayo, Mr Macaroni completed his NYSC in 2020.
