The remains of the director of finance and administration in Ogun State Governor’s Office Taiwo Oyekanmi have been buried in his hometown of Ifonyintedo in Ipokia Local Government Area.
Oyekanmi was gunned down on Wednesday while returning from a bank where he had taken a bullion van to withdraw funds for the state.
Earlier in the day, Governor Dapo Abiodun paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Abeokuta.
During the visit, the governor promised that the state government would take full responsibility for the family left behind by Oyekanmi.
He also assured the family and the people of the state that the perpetrators behind the killing would be caught and brought to justice.
