Music producer Chisom Faith, popularly known as Rexxie, has been arrested in Uganda.
The 29-year-old who has produced songs for artistes like Naira Marley disclosed his arrest on his Instagram page on Monday morning.
Rexxie said he is being held by Ugandan Immigration.
He, however, did not disclose the reason for his arrest which he described as “unfair.”
The producer, while calling for help, urged fans to demand his release with the hashtag, “UgandaFreeRexxie.”
He wrote, “I’ve been arrested at the Ugandan Immigration. Pls I need help.”
“This is so unfair! HELP HELP HELP!!! #UgandaFreeRexxie,” he added.
This comes four days after he announced his engagement on Instagram.
Rexxie shot into the limelight when he produced the song ‘Jogor’ on which Zlatan featured Naira Marley and Lil Kesh.
He has gone ahead to collaborate with some top artistes and produced several other hits like ‘Able God’ by Chinko Ekun featuring Lil Kesh and Zlatan; ‘Am I A Yahoo Boy’ by Naira Marley featuring Zlatan; and ‘Mafo’ by Young John featuring Naira Marley among others.
