Actress Regina Chukwu has opened up about a harrowing robbery experience, revealing that one of her biggest regrets was taking the advice of veteran actor Akin Lewis.
In a video shared on her YouTube channel, Regina recounted how the incident occurred about five years ago while she was on a movie set.
According to her, she had completed her scenes around 1:00 am and was supposed to return home, but was persuaded by Akin Lewis and the producer to stay overnight because Lewis had to travel to Oyo State early the next day.
“I was lodged in a hotel on Ayilara Street alongside Akin Lewis. When I got there, I noticed the hotel was filled with prostitutes, and I told them I wasn’t comfortable staying,” she said.
Despite her concerns, she said Akin Lewis pleaded with her to remain at the hotel, and she agreed out of respect for his age and status.
“That decision turned out to be my biggest regret,” she added. “As I was undressing to sleep, some armed robbers broke into my room, took me away to another location, and used my ATM card to empty my account.”
