The former minister, who clocked 59 on Wednesday, said all his posts were deleted.
In a tweet on Friday afternoon, however, Fani-Kayode said he would not be yielding to the hackers’ demand.
“Emmanuel Owobor, @etranexx the admin of my verified Femi Fani-Kayode @Facebook public page whose account they used to hack it just told me that the hackers said if we pay them $20,000 they will restore the page. I told him to tell them to go to hell. I will not pay a penny!” he wrote.
Fani-Kayode, a vocal critic of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, said the hack occurred on his birthday after he got over 33,000 likes and 23,000 goodwill messages on his birthday post.
