Actor Charles Inojie has recounted his sad experiences growing up, saying that his dad never cared for him after his mother abandoned him when he was just one year old.
The actor who is also a filmmaker disclosed this to media personality Chude Jideonwo in an episode of With Chude published on Friday.
Charles said he only lived with his dad for eight months and his stepmother maltreated him after his mother abandoned him.
Speaking in pidgin English, he said in parts: “Before I go even grow reach anything the marriage between my papa and mama dem don share their garri. Normal breast milk wey pikin suppose enjoy from him mama, my grandmama own.
“Since dem born me so since today, I’ve only lived with my father for eight months say picking and papa live together, it got to a point she asked that my father should make a pint between her and me. The day I was to meet my mother for the first time, so I went there, one woman dey there, and I saw the woman shedding tears but I don’t know why she was crying if she was expecting I was going to cry and hug her.”
Charles added that when he finally reconnected with his father, it was an emotional and teary moment as the man could not look at him and did not want to see him because he was so ashamed.

Charles is known for his comedic roles in movies and series such as The Johnson, Police Recruit, Love Wahala, Hottest Babes In Town, Wise Inlaws and Desperate Poor Man.
He got married to Obehi in 2012 in Benin City, Edo State.
The couple has two children, both girls.
Charle’s mother died at 58. She was blessed with 16 children.
