Big Brother Naija season 5 housemate Kiddwaya has disclosed that his billionaire father Terry Waya bailed former Bayelsa State governor the late Diepreye Alamieyeseigha when he was detained in the United Kingdom.
The 27-year-old made the revelation on Thursday night during their wager task.
The fitness enthusiast stated that his father bailed Alamieyeseigha in 2005 and the act landed him in trouble with the UK government.
“My father was the one who bailed the late Chief D.S.P Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa State out of prison back then. He has everybody’s back and he’s loyal to you no matter what. But he does not expect anything in return from anyone,” he said.
Alamieyeseigha was detained in London on charges of money laundering in September 2005.
At the time of his arrest, the Metropolitan Police found about £1 million in cash in his London home among other discoveries.
Alamieyeseigha managed to escape to Nigeria, causing trouble for Waya.
