Actress Tonto Dikeh has called on her followers and colleagues to say a prayer for her.
The mother of one made the appeal in an Instagram post on Thursday, adding that her heart is heavy.
Tonto, however, did not disclose her reasons for the cry for help.
She wrote: “I don’t ask for nothing at all. Not ashamed to say I need you all. If you got a minute say a quiet prayer for me (my heart is so heavy) Thanks.”
Responding to her message, several celebrities stormed the comment section of the post to drop words of encouragement for the actress.
Uche Jombo wrote: “Sending you hugs Tee! God got you always.”
“Love you,” Iyabo Ojo wrote.
“Sending you lots of love,” Mercy Aigbe added.
Chidiebere Aneke wrote: “The lord is your strength.”
Last month, Tonto announced she was quitting the movie industry.
The actress who is the African Democratic Congress (ADC) deputy governorship candidate for Rivers State, disclosed her decision to quit Nollywood during a interview with BBC News Pidgin after being asked if she has completely retired from acting or planned to return after her run in politics.
Tonto was previously married to businessman Olakunle Churchill.
They have a son together.
