TV presenter, Stephanie Coker-Aderinokun, has revealed that her husband, Olumide Aderinokun, supported her decision to share her story about conceiving through In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
The 31-year-old made this known in an interview with Punchng.com published on Saturday.
She said, “My husband really encouraged me to share this story. He could see how it would benefit others.”
Though her first attempt at IVF was successful, she said it was not without challenges as she developed a serious condition known as Over Hyper-Stimulation Syndrome during the process.
“My stomach became swollen with fluids. I threw up blood and was aspirated everyday for a week. This syndrome causes the ovaries to swell and become painful. It can become very serious and ultimately life threatening,” she told the newspaper.
Stephanie said she made the decision to share her story because she wanted to help reduce the stigma around infertility.
The media personality, on Thursday, announced she had her first child, a girl, through IVF.
Stephanie got married to Olumide in 2017. Their first child came two years later in November 2019.
