Nollywood actress, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, has explained that her husband understands why she took up a role in which she kisses Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD).
The 39-year-old plays the role of RMD’s sexy wife in a new TV series titled Castle and Castle, an Ebonylife TV series.
In a chat with The Entertainer published on Friday, Dakore said her husband gave her the go-ahead to play the role.
“Since the beginning of my career, I have been selective of the kind of people I work with, and the kind of scripts I accept. It’s part of having the spirit of excellence,” she explained.
“My passionate kiss with RMD comes with the job. I try as much as I can to steer away from such romantic roles, but I can’t keep steering and find myself totally out.
“However, my husband and I have an understanding. At the end of the day, I’m his wife; he is the one I go home to. He is the one I love. He is the father of my kids. RMD and I also have a connection, we have done such movie before. We both understand duty call.”
Dakore married Olumide Akande in a grand wedding in 2011.
The mother of two has starred in films such as Peace of Flesh, Men do Cry, Emotional Crack, Shattered Illusion, When the Going gets Tough, Playboy, Oracle, Hole in the Heart, Silent Tears and 11 days & 11 Nights.
