Controversial media personality Kemi Olunloyo has revealed that she is no longer in contact with her mother, citing years of spiritual conflict, family trauma and unresolved issues within the Olunloyo family.

In a series of videos posted to her TikTok page on Wednesday, Kemi alleged that her mother, whose name she did not disclose in the video, was deeply affected by the emergence of her father’s second wife, Ronke Sonaike.

She claimed that the woman, now known as “Aderonke Omololu Olunloyo,” was initially a campaign worker for her father during his 1983 governorship bid in Oyo State, before eventually becoming his wife.

According to Kemi, tensions in the family escalated when Ronke became pregnant, which infuriated her mother, who had seen her husband, Omololu Olunloyo, a former governor of Oyo State, as a disciplined intellectual.

“My mother married an intellectual, a man who got his Ph.D at 26 years old. And he turned into a polygamist,” she said.

“Not that polygamists are not good, but the way it happened to my family.”

Kemi alleged that her mother, overwhelmed by emotional and spiritual battles, later “got into the juju thing,” which contributed to their estrangement.

“My mother was angry. She has made a lot of mistakes and I don’t talk to her anymore,” she stated.

She also recalled a disturbing episode in which a miniature coffin was reportedly found under the bed of Ronke’s son, Olumide, when he lived with the late governor at Molete, Ibadan.
“Ronke said it’s my mom that put it there,” she claimed.

Kemi described Ronke as a former schoolmate who became closely involved with her father during his political rise. She accused her of introducing occult practices into the family and claimed the situation worsened after the birth of Ronke’s children, Wura, Olumide and Subomi.

“From the moment she came into our family, she attempted to poison my mother once by giving the house girl poison, which sent my mother to the hospital and she almost died,” Kemi alleged.

She also said she no longer communicates with Ronke and accused her of cutting off access to her father in his final days.

“Towards the end of Daddy’s life, nobody had access to him after the 2021 stroke. Ronke did not give anybody access,” she claimed.

Speaking about her father, who died on Sunday, Kemi said the late politician presented two different personalities, one to the public and another to his family.

“My father tortured us as kids. He tortured us emotionally and physically,” she said. “He marketed me as his favourite daughter to the world but used me for many things and drained my energy.”

She also alleged that her father was heavily involved in occult practices, adding that she confronted him on his 80th birthday, prompting him to seek spiritual cleansing. “After I called him out, he went to Pastor Adeboye and got born again,” she added. “My father had me kidnapped.”

Kemi further accused the family dynamics of spiritually ruining her late brother Tayo, who was injured during the Ali Must Go protests and later lived with seizures until his death in 2021.

“Tayo would have been a great mathematician,” she said. “They ruined his destiny.”

The 60-year-old also revealed that her parents were separated and that she does not know her mother’s current location in Ibadan.

Kemi concluded by reiterating the impact of the spiritual atmosphere in her family.

“Once you talk to my dad on the phone, whatever you plan gets derailed, even if he isn’t aware. It’s all spiritual,” she said.
