Managing director of ThisDay newspaper, Eniola Bello, has said that his wife, Olufunke Eniola-Olaitan, died of breast cancer.
In a statement seen on Thursday, Mr Bello said she died “at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, United Kingdom after a three-year titanic battle with breast cancer.”
The deceased, according to the statement, was a graduate of Business Administration from Kwara State Polytechnic. She also read Management at Lagos State University.
Eniola-Olaitan, a banker, businesswoman, and distance-learning tutor with The Skills Network, UK, died at the age of 49.
She would have clocked 50 on August 4.
Eniola-Olaitan is survived by her husband, four children, an aged mother, brothers and sisters.
The family has received condolence messages from President Muhammadu Buhari, Atiku Abubakar, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State among others.
