Singer and actor, Banky W, has admitted that he does not speak Yoruba as fluently as he should because his pronunciation is ‘dodgy’
The 39-year-old said this on Saturday in reply to a fan with Twitter username, @TonyShegzy, who praised his performance as Anikulapo aka White Lion in the 2019 movie, Sugar Rush.
“@BankyW Completely stole the show in #SugarRushMovie ni sha…too much sauce. Never knew he speaks Yoruba this fluently though,” he wrote.
banky, who is married to actress, Adesua Etomi, replied, “White Lion sauce If I’m being honest my Yoruba pronunciation is still extremely dodgy.”
Sugar Rush, which was directed by Kayode Kasum, is the fourth highest-grossing Nigerian movie of all time.
It also stars Banky’s wife, Adesua Etomi, Bimbo Ademoye, Bisola Aiyeola and ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Tobi Bakre.
