Celebrity fashion stylist Toyin Lawani has criticised celebrities for sending money to Davido after the singer requested the sum of one million naira as birthday gift.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Toyin stated that some of the celebrities who sent money to the pop star would not help people who are in need of financial aid.
“Some of these people sharing money upandan, if the people that really needs this money ask you now, you won’t give them. Just saying respectfully,” she wrote.
Davido’s one million naira challenge started on Tuesday, November 16 after the singer posted a video on his Instagram story, telling his friends to send him one million naira as proof of their friendship and loyalty to him.
Celebrities like Obi Cubana, Don Jazzy, Naira Marley, Mr Eazi, Zlatan, Phyno and Cubana Chief Priest have donated one million naira to Davido.
