Pop artiste Naira Marley on Thursday spoke on the #EndSARS protest led by Falz and Runtown against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Born Azeez Fashola, the controversial singer wrote on Twitter saying, “Respect to all the youths out there fighting for their rights and what’s right. God bless y’all.
“After a week if there’s no changes on this fsars issue as promised by nigeriapoliceforce then we will get back out there stronger.”
The 26-year-old had cancelled his protest scheduled to hold on Tuesday after the Nigeria Police Force reached out to him.
The singer had an Instagram Live chat with the Force spokesperson Frank Mba who advised the general public to make videos of policemen engaging in unlawful conduct but from a safe distance.
Frank said, “If you see an officer doing the wrong thing if you can record him safely do so and send to work review.”
Naira Marley assured that if the police do not stay true to their words he will lead a protest.
