Singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has agreed to shoot a video in collaboration with the Lagos State Government to warn against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Naira Marley, on Thursday, told an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos via a letter dated April 9 that he would make the video at his own cost.
“I hereby undertake to join the Lagos the Lagos State campaign against the spread of the COVID-19 by making a free audio-visual publication towards the campaign against COVID-19,” he told Chief Magistrate Yewande Aje-Afunwa in the letter.
The video is part of the conditions attached to the withdrawal of the social distancing charge against him.
Also as condition for the withdrawal of the charge is a written apology to the Presidency and Lagos State Government, which he has met.
Naira Marley was docked on Wednesday alongside politician, Babatunde Gbadamosi, and his wife, Folashade.
They were accused of flouting lockdown orders by President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos by attending a party organised by actress, Funke Akindele, and her husband, JJC Skillz.
