The management team of musician, Naira Marley, born Azeez Fashola, has revealed that sureties are ready to stand on behalf of the embattled musician.
Seven days after being granted bail by a Federal High Court in Lagos he is yet to appear in public leading to reports that the ‘Japa’ singer is still in custody because of a lack of sureties.
His team has however denied this in a statement on his InstaStories.
The post which says that authorities are trying to verify the address of the sureties has since been deleted.
Presiding judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo, had granted Naira Marley the bail with a condition of two sureties in like sum on May 31.
He is facing 11 counts bordering on cybercrime for allegedly conniving with one Yad Isril (at large) to use Access card issued to other persons in a bid to obtain gain, an offence contrary to Section 27(1) (b) of the Cybercrime Prohibition, Prevention Act 2015.
Reports have indicated that witnesses from financial institutions will testify at his hearing slated for October 22, 23 and 24.
