Nancy Isime considers going off Instagram for mental health

Media personality, Nancy Isime, has stated that she is thinking of quitting Instagram to protect her mental health.

The 28-year-old stated this on Instagram on Tuesday.

“Bruh! I’m torn between staying informed and logging off Instagram till it’s safe for me (for my mental health) to return. Trying my hardest as an empath not to get swallowed in it all…There’s so much going on in the world right now, from racism, to rape to murder…,” she wrote.

Here’s bringing some positivity to your Timeline as we enter the amazing month of JUNE. Bruh! I’m torn between staying informed and logging off Instagram till it’s safe for me (for my mental health) to return. Trying my hardest as an empath not to get swallowed in it all. Still finding reasons to smile and be grateful even if what I really want to do is go Numb (my defense mechanism). There’s SO much going on in the world right now, from racism, to rape to murder. Truth is this has been going on for a while now but everyone is just fed up! I’m Fed up! What on earth happened to the black race? If things aren’t being done to us, we’re the ones doing things to ourselves. How can we be screaming Black lives matter, and then we turn on the news here in Nigeria and it’s Massacres going on in the north, rape and murder of 2 innocent girls by twisted black men! Men who are supposed to protect them! Whilst still dealing with the surge of COVID-19. And trust me there are so many untold stories that just didn’t or haven’t yet found it’s way to social media. Dear God, please restore all that has been lost and heal Mother earth. My prayer is that JUNE comes with renewed faith in humanity, healing, peace , good health, and all round positivity. Amen!🙏🏽

Nancy was probably referring to the deaths of Tina Ezekwe who was shot by a trigger-happy policeman in Lagos and Uwaila Omozuwa, who was raped and murdered in a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Benin City, the Edo State Capital.

Both cases sparked national and international outrage.
