Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule on Tuesday named his set of male twins after President Muhammadu Buhari and former governor Senator Umar Al-Makura.
Sule named the first Mohammed Shamsudeen and other Umar Faruq.
The governor took a second wife in 2019, a few weeks to his inauguration.
The naming ceremony took place at the palace of the governor’s father in Gudi, Akwanga Local Government.
Sule said he named them after Buhari and Al-Makura because of the respect he had for the two leaders.
Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Ibrahim Balarabe led other members to the ceremony.
Emir of Lafia Justice Sidi Bage (rtd.) prayed God to give the twins good health, prosperity and make them grow to be good citizens.
