Comedian Abisi Emmanuel popularly known as Nasty Blaq has countered celebrity fashion designer Yemi Casual who said that people who made it to the top without social media should be respected.
Yomi in an Instagram post on Tuesday said that people who made it to the top without social media should be respected, following the Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp downtime.
Responding on Wednesday, Nasty Blaq in an Instagram post said that while he respects the pacesetters for their contribution to the entertainment industry, the new generation of entertainers should not be disregarded or considered lucky because they also worked very hard and they do not rely solely on social media.
“I respect the pacesetters and forever they will be honoured for their contribution to entertainment, but it doesn’t take out the fact that this new generation of entertainers should be disregard or considered lucky because I personally didn’t get here by lucky, In this spaced where there is so much competition of creative persons.
“It is difficult to really get up, only hard work can get you there, In as much as there is OG before IG the latter is a generation of hardworking guys, not lucky guys.
“The social media has helped everyone even including the ‘OGs’ to stay relevant and push their craft the help is not only to 21st-century celebrities,” he wrote in parts.
